Our reservations calendar is critical to our success at The Moving Experience.  It controls the staffing of jobs and our ability to provide accurate estimates. Changes to our reservations calendar have a ripple effect in our business systems and can affect other customers.

That being said, we do understand that things come up. We have a well-thought out set of cancellation policies designed to secure our calendar at busy times, and therefore ensure the satisfaction of all our customers. Securing a reservation with your deposit means you accept the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy that applies to your move.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: I agree to pay the total charges for moving services to be provided by The Moving Experience (“TME”). I understand that my deposit/fee represents only a portion of my total estimated moving charges.

For cancellations more than 7 days before a move:

I also understand that my deposit/fee is only refundable if at least 7 business days (not including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays) prior to the load date listed above, TME either (1) receives written notice at its address listed below via certified mail, return receipt requested, or (2) is notified by phone at (805) 544-6683 of my intent to cancel this contract, change my pickup dates or place the move on hold, and (3) issues me a cancellation number. If this cancellation occurs any time prior to 7 business days before your move, TME will refund your deposit minus an administration fee of $50 and 3% of the deposit for processing fees.

For cancellations less than 7 days before a move:

I am aware that any failure to comply with this Cancellation Policy shall result in the forfeit of any deposit(s)/fee(s) paid. I understand should I refuse to allow The Moving Experience to service my move within the pickup date(s) indicated on my estimate, fail to cancel or rebook their move prior to 7 business days, send a truck away, or cancel services after a truck has arrived, my deposit is non-refundable and I agree to pay the minimum quoted amount on the contract.
